Summer Wars (サマーウォーズ), which won the 2010 Japan Academy Award’s Best Animation, has shown very amazing sales for its Blu-ray. In just it’s first week of release, more than 54,000 copies of Blu-ray were sold. It sold a significant 5,000 Blu-rays more on it’s first week as compared to the Evangelion: 1.11 You Are (Not) Alone Blu-ray, which only managed to sell 49,000 copies in first-week sales.
Damn I should have cut down on figures and save up to buy it…
