I have been hearing about rumors saying that K-ON! will be having a third season?!? Can this be true???
One of the main reasons to that conclusion is that K-ON!!(Season 2) Volume 9 Blu-ray reservation seem to have started in some online shops such as Amazon etc. Assuming that there is at least 2 episodes in each Blu-ray of course^^;
So what do you think? Can this be a late April fool joke? I really hope not^^;

ehh, altho this serie is becoming quite popular, and their cd sound tracks and selling exceptionally well as well as lots of licensers for related-merchandises, and a dramatic increase in manga volume sales. The story swifts by way too fast, a whole two years in the first 14episodes, very very little fillers in this serie, and most likely the second season will finish last year of high school, (japan school is 6,3,3 years). Then its out of ideas, plus, the manga and anime are caught up. so any new episodes would have to be original and probably make a season worth = 1month anime world time. like toradora, although lots of people enjoys it. novel and anime is at same point and new season is unlikely

then a “season 3″ will probably be random ova episodes or something.

no way any of the dvds priced at ￥ 4,662 a piece will have just a single episode, would be ridiculous. from the look of it price-wise should have 2 maybe 3 episodes per disk.
I was thinking that k-on season 3 will be about their collage life probably. and I hope so but know this that HTT will live forever and ever

I don’t think theres going to be much after high school. kakifly’s mangas are known to be 2-5volumes long and k-on is in its 4th. and besides, how many animes you know of takes places during college time?
oh yes.. if season 3 comes it will be a gr8 hit!!!! K-On! getting pro!!!! wow.. they would be mature and with real band life stories!! waiting intensely for it!!!!

In the most recent episode they finally all decided to go to the same college, and like tzakuzi said, they have to go to BODUKAN! I am reeeally hoping for a season 3 =) Their college lives will be way too interesting to miss out on.
I don’t know about season 3 but maybe they’ll make 3/4 OVA’s to show the further but still I would like a season 3
